This Chocolate Chip Cookie Toffee Bark was made at this time for one reason…the Chips Ahoy Chocolate Chip Cookies were on sale.
When I see any item on sale that I could bake with, such as Oreos, M&Ms, chocolate chips, etc., I like to stock up. So I grabbed these cookies and made this quick, easy dessert. This recipe comes from one of my favorites, Dessert Mash-Ups.
This came together in about 10 minutes, the longest part cooking the toffee. And even for that, you don’t have to really do anything but watch it. Once it is done, you pour it on the cookies and bake.
Sprinkle with chocolate chips and stick the pan back in the oven for a few minutes so they get all melty. Then spread.
Top it off with toffee chips and let them cool. That’s it!
I made this toffee bark for the ladies I work with in my department as an end of the school year/happy summer treat.
This stuff is super sweet and very addicting. The problem is it is broken up into small pieces. So you take just a little piece. But think it’s OK to go back for more, and more…..and then it’s gone. Even though this recipe is from a book, you can search the blog Crazy for Crust for a bunch of related recipes!
