Frozen Snickers Pie

If I had to pick a candy bar to eat for the rest of my life, I am pretty sure it would be Snickers.  Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups come in a close second, but when I am craving some type of candy, Snickers is my go to.  And I’m sure you will agree that it is even better out of the freezer.  So when I saw a recipe for Frozen Snickers Pie by Shugary Sweets, I added it to my baking to do list.

I hate leaving a candy bar out in the sun and it makes a horrible mess.  That really doesn’t have anything to do with this.  Except that a bunch of Snickers were melted for this pie.  But that is how part of the filling for this pie is made.  I couldn’t help but think that once the candy bars melted, they would no longer have that Snickers flavor.  I was wrong.

The candy bars are melted with peanut butter and heavy cream.

Combine the candy bar mixture with cool whip and place it in the crust.  I went with a chocolate graham crust and I cheated by using a pre-made one.

I know…that looks really good and it’s not even complete yet!

Once it is frozen and ready to eat, top it off with some cool whip or even some whipped cream…

I absolutely love this pie!  And it does taste like a giant frozen snickers bar, but a tad better!

And it is so easy to make.  What a great idea to melt candy bars for a pie filling.  I would love to try another type.  It is also a no bake dessert with only five ingredients.  It can’t get any better than that.  🙂
