Sundays with Joy

Good morning!  I want to share with you a great group I am part of on Facebook.  It is called Sundays with Joy, created by Carrie of the blog Bakeaholic Mama.  The prupose of this group is to bake all 100 recipes of the cookbook Joy the Baker, written by Joy Wilson, who also has an awesome blog.  Definitely check out both blogs and the cookbook!!!

I wanted to join this group because I thought it would force me to make recipes with ingredients I tend to avoid, have never worked with before, or I just don’t think I would like it.  It worked!  Each week I have done something new with the recipe and it is so much fun.

Anyway, each Sunday I post a picture of the recipe I made to the Facebook page.  Most of the members have had a blog and they post about it there.  Now I can blog too :).  We are a few months into it so I thought I would share what I have done so far…

Raspberry Scones

Brown Butter Blueberry Muffins

 Leek and Asparagus Quiche

Avocado Fries

Avocado Cupcakes

Strawberry Cookie Dough Ice Cream

Avocado Pound Cake

Kale Spinach Banana Peanut Butter Smoothie

Coffee Vanilla Ice Cream Pie

Many of the group members change up some of the ingredients to make the recipe their own.  I have not done that yet.  Since I have about 90 recipes to go, I will eventually get there!  This week I will be making chocolate raspberry fudge pops…stay tuned for that.  Remember, you can find all of these recipes in the Joy the Baker cookbook.

See you soon!
